Plant Temperature Source Component[LINK]
This component (Object: PlantComponent:TemperatureSource) is a simple object used to simulate systems with a known supply temperature. This could include a river, well, or other configuration where a known temperature is pumped back into the plant system. This fluid could be isolated from chilled water and other loops by using a heat exchanger connection between the loops.
The temperature of the source of this object can be either constant or scheduled. If scheduled, it could also be actuated by EMS to allow a calculated temperature at run-time.
The logic of this component is quite simple: if there is flow through the component, the outlet temperature is always the source temperature. The component requests flow from the design flow rate, which can be autosized.
